Road trip - Day 3

Visiting Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park was a fun experience. Although there were warnings of snow which totally stressed me out. Thankfully we didn't see even one snowflake. It was however pretty cold and windy and even rainy at times which made our stops less frequent. We arrived just as Old Faithful was blowing off so we had to wait another 90 minutes for the next show. We took a walk on the boardwalk to see the other geysers. Nathaniel was nervous about the geysers blowing off and it took a lot of convincing for him to join us. The rain has mostly subsided on our walk, but the wind was so cold that we didn't last long. We made it back to the lodge and warmed up before going outside to watch Old Faithful. Most people started to give up on the geyser and began to walk away since it was 12 minutes past the prediction time but we stayed a few more minutes and enjoyed the show. It was so grey and cloudy that it was hard to make out just how high the geyser went in the air. We drove through the park all the way to the North entrance without seeing much in the way of wildlife :-( The next day would be better. We enjoyed Subway for dinner even though they did not honor the $5 footlong September promotion). Our hotel was nice although the pool was cold!
