Boys and the Dump Trucks

Playing with Oma

Peddle faster Oma!

Helping Papa at the wood pile

I just LOVE this picture!

Cooking with Oma and Papa

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Soup is a Sunday tradition. Looks like Nathaniel is learning early how to make his own lunch!

Nathaniel woke up from his nap and said, "Make Peanut Butter Cookies for Papa Jim. Surprise!" How could Oma resist? I think WeightWatchers was held at bay this weekend!

And a little whip cream would make any snack tasty!

Shea-Mac

McDonald's is Ken's favorite "restaurant" so he likes to take the boys there. The one by our house has a play structure and interactive games to get kids moving (ie. Basketball hoop, Dance Dance Revolution and skate boarding video game). The boys have a blast every time they go!

5 kids!

This week we had the great fortune of hanging out with the Lee clan... well 3 of thier 4 kids. Ken was travelling for work, so it was me and 5 kids! Yikes! Yes the Lee's are worth it. And the kids were very very well behaved (even if they did get tired of a two year old begging them to play trains).

Puddle Stompin
Nate's favorite thing to do. Especially with an older friend or two. Nate wanted to go out first thing in the morning. I made him change out of his jammies.

Yep. He fell. It was only a matter of time.

What a surprised face.... a little wet!

Deep water!

Swimming at the Pool
By the way, if I ever get a crazy idea like this again. Please note: the Lifeguards do not think it is a good idea for one adult and two babies and 3 additional children.

Twister!
Nate LOVED this game! Plus we worked on Right/Left and our colors!

Zoo trip

The sun is out!!! Well we don't know how long it will stay, so we went to the zoo, along with EVERYONE else in Portland. uggh. We almost gave up on finding a parking spot and if we hadn't been with our neighbor who already found a spot I would have called it quits. But we did eventually get a spot and ended up having a great time.

Tractor time. Jack and Nate had a blast!

The cows were pretty exciting to look at.

Overall I think the soap seemed to be the main attraction. We stopped EVERY time we saw a dispenser!

Date Night

Ken and I went to the Symphony last weekend. We went to dinner at the Hall Street Grill and had a nice dinner. We both ordered the special and it was outstanding! Especially the Raspberry Chocolate Brownie! We found the best parking spot ever downtown and I had a fabulous time at the Symphony. We marveled at the amazing talent of each performance (which maybe isn't saying much from someone who has no musical talent). Nonetheless, I had a fun time. A HUGE thanks to Oma and Papa Jim who came over and watched the boys and then put them to bed for us.

Helping Papa Jim

Fixing the fence in the backyard. (I think our fence has blown over each year for the last 3 years! Give us a few more years and we will have replaced each post!) What precious moments these are with Papa Jim!

Straw invention

So after a few minutes Daddy did help Nate, but this was all his idea. Extending the straw on his sippy cup at Costco. Smart Kid, huh?

Carnival with Cousin Lilli

Nathaniel's cousin Lilli invited us to her school carnival. This was his first cake walk.

Toilet Paper Toss. Fun game, but I'm a little concerned that this might happen at home with a running toilet!

The Bouncy House was very intimidating, but Lilli held Nathaniel's hand and they had a good time.

Library time

More fun times at the library! Jack and Nate watching the fish in the tank

Nate LOVES the interactive song and story time

Shake, shake, shake, turn around, doo-do, turn around.

Me and the boys... YES! It is quite crazy sometimes, but oh so fun!

Getting the Mail

This is possibly Nate's favorite part of the day. Daddy comes home and they go out to check the mail. I haven't checked the mail in 7 years... and when Daddy's on a business trip I forget to check it. Just not a priority I guess. However, it is the highlight of this little boys day. Time with Daddy.
