Fun in the twin cities

We really enjoyed our time with Mom's sister in Apple Valley. She makes the best homemade bread! We took the boys to the Mall of America to visit Legoland and Nickolodeon Universe. We did have fun playing at the lego tables but the big roller coaster swing in the middle of Nickelodeon Universe caught Nathaniel's eye. We went as a family on the Log Chute. Afterwards Logan said, "Little bit scary Daddy, Little bit scary." We spent all afternoon taking turns with the boys on the rides. They took a long nap afterwards! Later that evening we worked on our exercises and tried to teach Erin how to do a push up. Saturday we went to an apple orchard nearby. The boys had fun playing on the playground equipment and feeding the animals. We took a hay ride around the orchard and stopped for a little taste test. It was a little bit windy/cold but lots of fun with my cousins! We also took a walk to the local duck pond. No pond excursion would be complete without falling in! Back at the house we made apple pie and then carved pumpkins. Nathaniel and Logan did an awesome job carving their pumpkins. Sunday we had a chance to go to a Viking game. First we had to find someone with 4 tickets... and then negotiate a decent price. We were happy when we made it through the turnstiles with our "scalped" tickets. 3 of our tickets were all the way at the top, second from the last row, in the middle ... with a support beam obstructing our view. So we sat in some seats just off the aisle... but those people came and claimed their seats. So we headed down to where Uncle Gary was sitting and sat in that row.... but those people came and claimed their seats. We bounced around quite a bit for the first half of the game. Finally in the third quarter we dared to go down to the lower level and sat in some really nice end zone seats.... for the rest of the game! Most of the fans were leaving by now since the score was 35-3 in the other teams favor. Even if the seats were a hassle... it was still lots of fun!
