Oma's Birthday
Mom passed a significant milestone this year. She had a blast celebrating her birthday. One of the "events" was a Tea Party thrown by a good friend. It was requested that everyone wear a hat. Uggh. I hate wearing hats. I look like such a dork in hats! I told mom I would love to attend, but would not be wearing a hat. I was very tempted to wear my NIKE baseball cap, which even that doesn't look great on me.... but this is mom's party. I figured I should probably comply...and look like a dork for the afternoon... afterall she is worth it, right? Think of everything she has done for me. So with that I put on a hat regardless of how silly I looked and had a fun time eating little tea cakes, sipping tea and enjoyed celebrating MOM. I love you MOM. Your INCREDIBLE!
Growing older means visiting the Doctor
Nathaniel had his 3 yr well child check up and I am happy to report he is now in the 11th percentile! This is a huge leap from the 5th percentile last year. Sometimes I wonder if he is growing on his meager diet of oatmeal, scrambled eggs, mac n cheese, and anything sugary he can get his hands on. Turns out that he is!

Nathaniel's big day!
Working from home
Daddy took care of the boys for a day while I did some temp work for a friend. Dad makes it look so easy... give them a few toys and they'll just play right?
(Getting back into the workforce was quite the experience. I signed up as a contract worker and committed to just 40 hours over the course of 3 weeks. It was fun, but I didn't feel like I was a great mom for those 3 weeks. I have a stronger appreciation for you working mommas! Hopefully I can do a few projects here and there to keep my resume up-to-date.)

The Beach in February
We had fabulous weather this week at the beach. Hardly any wind. Gorgeous blue sky. What a great way to celebrate Oma turning 60!
We played on the rocks - mostly throwing smaller rocks into the tide pools
Built sandcastles
Fed the birds our leftover pancakes
Ran away from the ocean (Oma and Nate got caught!)
