Road trip - Day 4
Threat of snow looming today. We checked with the rangers though and they said the North side of Yellowstone was passable so we went for it. I'm glad we did. After stopping at the Mammoth Hot Springs we headed toward the East Entrance. We saw lots of elk by the visitor center and tons of Bison along the route. The roads were a bit windy and it took forever to finally reach Gillette, Wyoming. We did stop along the way for a picnic at a scenic overlook. The hotel we stayed at was awesome. It had a water park attached to it which Papa Jim and Nathaniel took advantage of.

SARAH!!!!! That is our family's favorite hotel. We always joke about going anywhere so we can stop by Gilette Wyoming and swim in that waterpark. :) Your trip sounds so much like the one we took 2.5 years ago with my family.
