Bella

We had a little dog for the week and Nathaniel was on cloud nine. He quickly learned how to feed her every morning and evening and loved taking her for a walk. Nathaniel was super excited to have a new best friend around. He kept saying, "thank you Bella for coming to stay with me. I love you". We went to the park and he found the big kids (age 8-9) and stopped them to say he had a little dog named Bella with a pink leash for a few days. He was crushed on Sunday when we have to send her back home. This morning he handed me the phone to call Ken's co-worker to see if Bella could come play. I see a dog in our future....

And of course, Logan is having fun too.

A simple juice drink

I've been saying "no" to every request for the overpriced juice drink in the club vending machines. The other day my dear friend Barbara wanted to spoil the kids as we had 'coffee' after my swim class and I gave in to the sugar loaded beverage. The boys were on cloud nine. Thanks Grandma Barbara!

Logan went potty on the toilet!!!!

Yep! We are working with Nathaniel.... but Logan didn't want to be left out. He left a little surprise for us today!

Mystery Toys!

The kids play a game at KidCentral while mom is working out up in the gym. It's called "mystery toy"... and it genius! Every hour (usually when all the toys are in disarray), the teacher gathers the kids, and thinks of a toy that is out of place and then says "go!". All the kids go about busily putting away toys and whoever picks up the actual toy the teacher was thinking about gets a star with their name on it. Nathaniel is collecting his stars on the back door. What a great way to get the kids excited about cleaning up! Why don't we play this at home?????

Auntie Bread!

Nathaniel loves learning how to bake! We visited Ken's sister earlier this week and she had some ripe bananas.... which means it's time to make Auntie Bread! He is getting good at cracking eggs and stiring in the sugar. Licking the beaters is the best part though.

Snow in March

Wow! Who would have thought we would be getting snow in late March?

Visit with Oma and Papa

While we were enjoying Europe the boys were having a blast with Oma and Papa. Honestly I was a bit nervous that the boys would wear mom and dad out, but they seem to have really enjoyed the week with their grandkids. Sounds like they were very busy with "projects". Nathaniel wanted to stay another night.
