Birthday Boy
My little boy turned 2!!!! We had a fun little party at the park. The kids enjoyed enjoyed playing in the water fountain. My mom even got in on the fun. There was also a small water fight with cups near the water jug... Uncle Stevie was last seen with water jug full of ice... not sure who got it on their head :-)

Airshow
The boys had so much fun at the 2012 Airshow! We were one of the fortunate ones that won tickets through work to sit in the designated area right across from the middle of the runway. The show started with parachuters... which Nate and Logan were fascinated with and would not stop asking for them the rest of the day. After watching for a bit we looked around at the various planes and talked with the pilots when avaiable. I think they we expecting some question about how to fly the plane or their credentials... not 'when are you going to eat lunch?'. So fun to see into the mind of a 3 year old! Logan and I went home after lunch for naptime while Nate and Daddy stayed to see the Thunderbirds finale. He can't wait to go again next year!

Fun with Papa
I swear those boys have more fun with Oma and Papa Jim and it doesn't seem like they are doing anything out of the ordinary...Mowing the lawn, picking berries, or sitting in the truck. It's where they want to be. Not necessarily because of what they are doing, but because of who they are with. I never would have thought to just sit the boys in a the truck for 2 hours. They had a blast!

Vacation Bible School
I think 3 is a little young to participate in an all day program. But we tried it anyway. I have such good memories of VBS when I was little. Nathaniel's 4 yr old friend Micah invited him to join and it was only 2.5 days so we decided to go for it. While he was able to survive without a nap... he hit the pillow hard each night. When we dropped him off, I stayed to make sure he was comfortable (he's been having separation anxiety every time I drop him off at Kids Club or the nursery so I wanted to make sure he was okay). The leaders were super nice and let me know I could stay as long as I wanted and Logan could even participate too if I wanted. Logan wants to do anything and everything his big brother does so he was all in (although I did take Logan home for his nap so he missed the afternoon sessions). They enjoyed the crafts, storytime, singing, but they especially loved the puppet "ocho" who was an Octopus that showed up at the beginning and ending of each session. He would always hide and wait for the kids to yell "OCHO" before he would come out and talk. The boys are totally into hide n seek right now.
