Portland pedal with Dad
It's not often my Dad and I get to do something just the two of us. Quite honestly I'm a bit jealous that Ken is always getting to do 1-1 projects with Dad (even if they are house projects). So when I found out he was doing the Bridge Pedal by himself I got him to invite me to join him. It was a lot of fun, althoug I was saddle sore the next day. It was pretty cool riding over the Marquam and the Freemont and stopping to overlook the city. And I totally get why this is the perfect ride for Dad. Every other bridge had a station inviting us to stop and try a granola bar or eat bananas, yogurt and cookies. And the finish line had ice cream! Perfect ride for someone with a sweet tooth! It was a special day for me. One I will treasure always.

Birthday party
Truck day is the perfect venue for a 3yr old party! (Although I should have actually rented the picnic table to avoid a tongue lashing by the park and rec administrator). The boys had a fun time looking at all the community trucks with Papa Jim while Oma and I set up the picnic table. The cake that Oma made turned out fabulous! Logan had a fun time with all his friends and loved opening presents. He is also been really good about sharing his new toys.

Weekend with Cousins
We had a fun filled weekend with the girls while Auntie and Uncle R went had a little get away. We went made apple chips in the dehydrator and apple pie for dessert on Thursday.
Friday we started the day painting our fingers and toes. Because that's what you do with your cousins.
Then off for an ice skating adventure. Logan and I watched while Nate traded off between Laurel and Keely.
Ending the day with a pizza/movie night.
Saturday we had a major water fight as requested by Nate. I think Uncle Ken won!
After everyone dried off we packed up the car on our way to the movie theater to see Turbo. I ran inside for sippy cups and when I came out Ken was holding his head in pain and went down to the ground. Apparentlly while shutting the trunk door he whacked his head and had a bit of a gash so we ended up going to Urgent Care and postponed the movie. Thankfully he did not need stitches!
The next showing of Turbo was not for 2 hours so we grabbed a sandwich and then got lured into the ice cream shop next door. Logan always makes chocolate look so tempting!
Finally off to the movie. Neither of the boys had been to a theater so they had a lot of fun experiencing the flip up seats. Logan fell asleep for the last half an hour. Back at the house we made dinner and finished the night with a campfire and smores on the back deck.
Sunday we went to the park and played for a while and then to the pool for the afternoon. It was a busy weekend!!! I'm ready for a little R and R!
