I'm up to my ears in paint! No sooner did we get our new counter tops in and the dishwasher installed that we are starting on yet another project. I'm hoping this is the last one (that I have to be involved in) for a while. We have 7 doors precariously placed in the garage so we can paint both sides. We have 200+ feet of molding to be painted. I think our neighbors think we are crazy... always up to something! At some point we will need to move indoors and paint the hallway and the bedroom and the banister, and anything else that jumps out at us.

Working on more teeth
I see a few molars coming in... no wait, where did they go... oh there they are. These new teeth will not make up there mind when they are actually going to appear. Nate has slept from 11-2pm the last 3 days in a row (of which I am very grateful!) and I'm guessing it's due to all the hard work his little body is doing to get those teeth in.
A Bucket of Fun
Nathaniel spent the afternoon with Oma and Papa Jim last week. Dad was home early from work and washing all the cars he could find (as he often likes to do) and mowing the lawn. Nathaniel had so much fun watching him. He even got to play with the water bucket when Papa Jim was done. I didn't have an extra set of clothes but decided it was nice enough weather to just let him play... what's it going to be like being a mother of boys???? Anyway, here's a few pictures.

Keely weekend
Keely (Nathaniel's cousin) came to spend the weekend with us. We had a lot of fun and Nathaniel was very sad when he couldn't find her this morning. She was so helpful and Nathaniel was giggling all weekend with her. He loved watching her soccer game where he said, "Ball, Ball, Ball" the whole two hours.

Tulip Fields
Tulips are my FAVORITE flower! I love them! We decided to meet my friend Stephanie in Woodburn for lunch and then head off to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. Lunch was a special treat, Steph's husband was our waiter. Nathaniel was in awe of the big tall man dressed in black that came to our table and took our orders. I actually think Nate was thinking where have I seen this guy before.... Anyway, we had a fabulous lunch. Nathaniel ate half of my Triple Decker Club sandwich which Matt had warned would be too big for me. I think he underestimated us :-)
Anyway, it was great day at the Tulip fields.... minus the mud bugs that seemed to be flying everywhere and the fact that I forgot a stroller or some apparatus to contain my 14 month old. I finally let him crawl in the dirt. We were a mess by the time we left. The flowers were beautiful though and it was nice to be with someone whose belly is almost as big as mine :-)

Walking?
Oma said she witnessed Nathaniel take four steps yesterday... He was cruising along the couch and then just kept going until Oma yelled, "Nathaniel's Walking!" Perhaps he would still be walking Oma if we hadn't made such and outburst :-) I'm totally kidding!!!! I love my mom and her excitment (so does Nathaniel) and I'm sure we will see it (the walk) again soon. That boy is growing up so fast.
