Rockclimbing

The boys have been asking for a few months to go rock climbing at the gym. We keep saying it's a good idea, but finally took the time to do it. Both were interested but Nathaniel was the only one brave enough to get in the harness at first. A week later Logan wanted to give it a try. They say that they are both naturals!

Mother's Day

My day (weekend rather) was very special spending time with my boys. They took me out breakfast on Saturday morning and then we headed off to a Tball game. Sunday morning the boys decided to take me to the beach. We drove out to Astoria and climbed the tower hoping for a view. The skies were cloudy but it was so worth the hike. A family at the top shared their balsa wood airplanes with us and we enjoyed watching them all drift in the wind for what seemed like minutes before they finally got lost in the trees. After grabbing a few planes in the bushes we headed of to Ft. Stevens Park and visited the shipwreck at the beach. Nathaniel enjoyed looking for sea jewels (shells) and we made an attempt at a sand castle. It was a bit cold, but hey, that's the Oregon Coast. We came back from the beach in time to have dinner with Mom at my brother's house. On Monday Nathaniel said, "Your the best mom, and Mother's Day is the best day." L.O.V.E.

Lego Star Wars at the Toy store

The toystore was having a Lego Star Wars build last weekend and of course we had to get in on the action. The boys were able to build wookie gunships and while we waited in line we got to talk to R2A2 and R2D3. The guys running the droids said it's taken them 3 years to build/design/program them. Sounds like a fun hobby!

Working in the yard

We are making progress on our yard once again! But of course if Papa is coming we must start the day with donuts! The boys are always thrilled!

Anniversary

11 years already! Seems like just yesterday...

Easter Hunts and Dinner

We had a fun weekend with the family. We had a few easter egg hunts. One with a dear friend we call Grandma Sandra at her house. One at a friends church which then moved on to a carnival. They boys had way too much fun there and became highly skilled at Plinko (or so their candy stash would lead you to believe!) And then at Oma's with cousins. I love that Logan finally got it this year and enjoyed looking for eggs! Dinner was fabulous as usual. And OMA outdid herself again this year creating scavenger hunts for the "big kids" who are in their 30's!
